What is it Worth to You to Protect your Gold Prospecting HeritageGidday Everyone. The past two months have been very busy for us with the ability to go to our leases during the Covid Pandemic (At last) So we have been out bush a lot, it is also our reporting periods for Annual reports, likeForms 5 expenditure report, EAR Mining Rehabilitation Funds reports and all the other time consuming stuff driven by the DMIRS so we have not been able to write a newsletter for a while. However, this is a quick newsletter about a (critical) survey on the Value of Recreational Prospecting and Metal Detecting in WA. You may not have received a copy of this request for a survey on Metal Detecting and Recreational Gold Prospecting by Minelab. It has been sent to APLA members and those on the Minelab mailing list, I have included a link to it for you because it is a very important and long overdue process. Why is it Important?
If you want to protect YOUR right to go metal detecting and prospecting in WA in the future, fill the survey in so the Government can understand its valueto us, the prospector, the economy of WA and to regional tourism in the goldfields of WA. Gold Prospecting Value Survey LinkHere is the email I received and you can complete the survey by clicking on this link Survey On Value of Gold Prospecting in WA LinkWhat is the Gold Prospecting Value Survey AboutMinelab has commissioned Action Market Research and BDO to undertake an economic and social contribution study of recreational prospecting, and you are invited to participate in an online survey that will inform this study. This survey is being conducted by Minelab Electronics who are interested in understanding the experiences of people who prospect in Australia. Your input to this survey will help to form an independent review of the economic and social contribution of recreational and small-scale professional prospecting that will help inform government about the value that prospecting brings to the Australian economy (which should hopefully in turn provide improved benefit and opportunity for you, the prospecting community!). Your survey responses will remain confidential as BDO and Action Market Research will collate, analyse, interpret and report on the data ensuring that Minelab Electronics only see the aggregated and not individual responses. The survey should take approximately 15-20 mins to complete. If you are having any difficulty with the survey, feel free to contact Action Market Research on 1800 077 789. The survey will remain open until Friday 21 August 2020. If you know of others who may also wish to participate and have not received this email invitation, then they can register their interest to participate at the following link: https://actionsurveys.com.au/index.php/336687 (see above for the link)
By completing the survey, you will go into the running to win your choice of an Equinox800 or Goldmonster 1000 Metal Detector from Minelab Electronics (valued at AU$1,200 approx.). We hope you take the opportunity to participate in this research and thank you in advance for your time..
