What do YOU Need to Consistently Get Gold Nuggets?

Gidday Everyone from Bill Udo Kurk and Ray,

Well its amazing how quick 2025 and the prospecting season comes around.

It's still too hot in WA to go prospecting BUT with gold hovering around $150 AU a gram people are still going metal detecting in the summer months.

That is definitely NOT what we recommend - it's too easy to get heat stroke out there and die. Don't do it - you hearing me Michael?

This newsletter is about getting you into the mindset for gold prospecting this year and preparing well in advance so you are ready around April/May when the weather cools down.

So over the next month or so we will help you start your preparation and then - BOOM - when you are ready to go you are ready.

Everyone will get something out of the process of goal setting and preparation for the Gold Prospecting and Metal detecting Season ahead.

Someone said " If you don't plan you're planning to fail.

I don't know who but its very true.

So don't let yourself make that mistake.

What Do You PLAN to Do IN 2025?

The first thing to ask is what do you plan to do in 2025 to find Gold Nuggets?

What is your main aim in your gold hunting travels this year?

Is it?

1. Getting some gold while you are travelling - but your main Objective is to travel across the outback of WA using metal detecting as an add on to help you defray costs?

2 Going specifically to new places where you can find gold so your hobby makes you more than just Travelling Money?

3 Something to do on you trip with friends to Broome or North of WA to escape the winter cold down south?

4 Going Gold Prospecting professionally to make a living?

YOU Need to Know Your Objective and Then Pre-Plan Accordingly

For example, In Aim 1 and 2 Going Deeper Bush to get gold you need to know how to get to the locations where gold can be found which may be off the beaten track.

You will want to travel to places where normal prospectors do not go.

That means you have to prepare in much greater depth depending on how far off the beaten track you intend to go.

You also need to invest more time in;

  • Research and equipment preparation,
  • safety preparations,
  • aligning buddies so you travel with another vehicle,
  • making sure your Off Road vehicle and spares are serviced and ready to go,
  • getting the permissions you may require from mining companies,
  • or setting up your Section 40e Permits (they give you access to over 85% of all pegged Exploration Lease ground... ...BUT you need at least a month to have the documents approved and wait the required 21 days)

If you aim is # 3 Just Travelling But Want to Pick up Some Gold on The Trip you will most likely spend your time close to gold centre towns where you have all the infrastructure you need to be comfortable.

You can also mingle and socialise with like minded travellers, the metal detecting community and the locals.

That way you can visit gold mining centres and detecting places day to day to find some gold. But you will still need to set up permissions to get onto good ground or for Section 40e Permits.

You are probably aiming for 1 or 2 grams a day and that is very doable, some days you will get a bigger nugget and others just a few specks but it all adds up. especially at $150 a gram!!

With Aim #4 - Doing it professionally that is beyond the scope of this newsletter and discussion.

What do YOU Need to do to Consistently Get Gold Nuggets

You do not want to be a Prospector that occasionally finds a big nugget - that's just luck - You want to be a person that finds gold EVERY Day - like we do - with the occasional big gold nugget as a bonus.

So, the IMPORTANT thing is that YOU know what you want to do and then can start your preparation accordingly.

What do I mean;

Well to get gold nuggets you just need;

  • (a) A good metal detector,
  • (b) Know where to find some gold and,
  • (c) How to access the land where you want to go metal Detecting - You Know - The locations "Where the Gold Is"!!.

We do not know at what level you are in your metal detecting and gold prospecting journey.

So we generally aim our information at people who are just starting their hunt for gold - but tell me what you want to know (just hit reply to the newsletter) and We will attempt to provide that information to you.

Over the next month or so we will also send out a few newsletters to help some subjects planned;

  • The best metal detectors and equipment you need for the WA goldfields.
  • Where you can Find gold in WA. Research, Geology and Resources.
  • How to get Access to the land you want to go.
